Bronwyn McInturff, LICSW
Bronwyn has served the Birmingham mental health community for over 20 years. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Birmingham Southern College and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Alabama. She worked in the Addiction Recovery Program at UAB in many roles, including director. As she spent time in the field of addiction recovery, she saw the intersection of trauma and other mental and physical issues which ignited an interest in direct trauma work. She has been trained in several evidenced practices including CPT, EMDR, and DBT. She served as an adjunct faculty member in the UAB Department of Social teaching classes related to substance use and mental health. In 2022, she joined the board of directors for The Addiction Prevention Coalition, a local non-profit organization, as a way to contribute to their work and give back to the community. She now works at the UAB Sparks Clinic providing individual therapy services as part of the social work team. Her approach to therapy is individualized, integrating her training and experience and reflecting her social work values including the importance of human relationships and the dignity and worth of every person. Bronwyn offers services through the DTTG clinic.
